friday night the boys watched the fireworks at Fort Jackson from our front window. eli proclaimed the fireworks to be super awesome! we were going to take the boys down the Capitol City Stadium where the Blowfish play baseball but we had a pretty bad storm and decided to stay in for the evening.
we went out to pelion yesterday. jeff did mom's yard and i hung out with buffy. the boys had a great time playing together. we took them out to the playground briefly but the bad weather forced us back inside. we had pizza for supper and then cut a huge watermelon.
today we had lunch with nana mac at her church which is our old church. it's the first time we've been back there in over a year. it was good to see old familiar faces. Gabriel's Call (formerly the Temple Quartet) provided entertainment. they were great as always.
right now jeff is at choir practice. the boys and i are watching Cars for the millionth time. and the boys are playing football and giggling their heads off. and it's raining again. ah, summer in the deep south...
tomorrow i start my new work schedule. that means i have to get up earlier...ugh...
