Hot Dates

eli and i had a hot date on tuesday evening. we went shopping at jc penney to get him some summer clothes. he has gotten some hand-me-downs from alex and joseph but it wasn't enough. after we shopped we headed to cracker barrel. my growing boy ate an entire pancake, a sausage patty and almost a whole biscuit. after we ate we played checkers outside. he won.

on wednesday evening drew and i went on a hot date. we went to the state house and fed bread to the birds and squirrels. we walked all around and just enjoyed our time together and the awesome weather. after we ran out of bread we headed to ihop for some pancakes. drew got the create-a-face pancake. pretty cool.

i'm going to make date night with my boys a monthly event. i really enjoyed having one on one time with each boy and i know they enjoyed it too.

next friday is my birthday and i've arranged for the boys to stay with granny over night. jeff and i plan to go out to eat and see a movie. it's been years since we've been to the movies. the last movie we saw in the theater was talladega nights. on saturday jeff and i will be attending lauren and derrell's wedding. after the reception we'll take camden to buffy's with us where we're meeting my family for cake. my mom is making me a stripe-it-rich cake. i cannot wait for that cake!
